So, yesterday.
Almost every Wednesday we have collaborative work time with the people on our team. More often then not, it gets taken over by something the district wants. (Which is annoying.) Last week was the same. We had a sudden 'lesson' on inquiry, which ate up the time we needed.
As a part of TCT, we are required to fill out a survey on what we did. It should be completely anonymous.
Last week I was really annoyed by not having time to really delve into what we NEEDED to do, so I was honest about how I was feeling on the survey.
I'm not going to do that again.
Principal printed out all the survey results, and made us go over them and 'discuss'. The fact is, we all felt the same way, I just opened my stupid... fingers? and let it out.
Which makes me more irritated, because the 10 minutes we had to spend looking at our 'data' could have been used working on something else.
At least one thing has been affirmed- we all disagree with where the school is going, are all feeling over-worked and under appreciated, and do not feel we are doing what is best practice. I'm not alone.
